(More customer reviews)I purchased this to max out my mid 2009 MacBook Pro. I was hesitant to tinker as I have had no problems in 2 years. For the first week it worked great. the I started getting slow downs and system hang ups. I used tech tools deluxe and found hundreds of bad sectors. I tried to look up support and discovered that Samsung doesn't even recognize the model number as a legitimate product on their site. Couldn't find any tech help so I did what was suggested on other forums and wiped the disk clean, wrote to zero's to help with the bad sectors, and performed a clean install of Snow Leopard. This worked for about an hour. In frustration I called Apple care and set up an appointment at the genius bar. The tech wiped my system and performed a "factory install" or Snow Leopard and iLife 11 and sent me on my way. Within the day I was having issues and before night my system refused to boot. This is 100% the hard drive's fault. Avoid at all cost.
