We bought one of these surge protectors along with the much longed for and awaited 50 inch plasma television. Just three months later a lightning strike killed many of our electric items all over the house....and didn't hurt the plasma!! We purchased one for all our important electronics now, so feel comfortable that this item does it's job. Plus, even though it died as it was supposed to to save the television, the company replaced it free!!! Wonderful item!!
