(More customer reviews)Purchased to supplement Apple's dick-move of removing the ExpressCard slot on the 15" MacBook Pro, this adapter does what it needs to do after a few days of use. No issues yet. Have heard of a few other adapters that fail after a few days. If that happens, I'll be back to report on it - if not, assume all is well.
My computer recognized my 3G card immediately, worked on first try with no fuss or calibration. Thankfully so - it's just an adapter, after all! Not to mention that I paid almost $25.00 for this tiny, simple piece of gear.
Anyhow, my 3G card stays firmly in the adapter, and the short cord connecting USB plug with ExpressCard slot keeps other nearby USB ports free to use (some other adapters that I looked at blocked additional ports).
So far so good.

(More customer reviews)Bought this adapter for my Verizon Novatel PC770 modem, because my new Laptop did not have a PCMCIA or Expresscard slot.
Before I got the adapter, on my old laptop I never got more than 3 bars of signal, even with an external antenna hooked up. Now with the cable connected to the USB port, I get 5 bars of signal, which equals a higher data rate. It works so well, I'd recommend everyone buys it, even if you have PCMCIA/Expresscard slots, just for the signal improvement.
Note that the adapter only works with a modem that uses the USB mode of the Expresscard/PCMCIA interface. Problem is that no-one tells you how the card works. Guess the PC770 works via the USB mode because this adapter works perfectly.
