(More customer reviews)I bought this adapter for eyefinity. I just bought a new ati(amd) hd6950 and was eager to use eyefinity. I quickly learned I needed to use the display port for the third monitor. I plugged it in and windows makes the new hardware sound. The sound stops so I go to wiggle the cable and the the new hardware sounds repeatedly beeps as if the adapter has a loose wire or low power. Same thing on the my other mini display port.
I tried unplugging all monitors and using only the display port, restarting on only the display port, and a number of other things. But its really an excitement killer to find out the device is not working. Maybe its low on power and needs a firmware update like this guy (virus86's review on [...]. Ill probably return this one and get the Accell B087B-006B since it has a high success rate with reviewers.
