(More customer reviews)I've had this data card for nearly a year now and used it all around the country. The connection has been incredibly unreliable. Some times webpages and emails load fine but most of the time the connection is so slow it's unusable. Many times I end up paying for an internet connection just to get access to email. In fact, the reliability is so bad I spent 10 minutes trying to get a good enough connection to write this review. In many instances the signal strength shows to be excellent but the card will not connect to any website or download any email. In other instances the connection manager suddenly terminates the connection and tells me no wireless device is present even though I can clearly see it is still plugged in and the indicator light shows I'm connected. When it does finally connect, the connection is typically more like a dial up connection rather than a low end DSL connection. The last speed test I did showed my connection at .06 MB/s with a latency of anywhere between 347ms to 1818ms...the at&t network status was reporting 34ms of latency at the time on their internal network. In another instance the latency was so bad the server eventually gave up testing. Support from AT&T has been dismal in getting this problem fixed. I've spent as long as an hour and a half on the phone with tech support and got no real resolution.
Bottom line for me would be to find another solution. Maybe the problem is with the AT&T network rather than the data card itself. There's no real good way to tell and AT&T has no interest in admitting fault. Until the issues get resolved though...I would stay away from this card.
