(More customer reviews)The UPS unit has a DB9 connector. An adapter cable to USB is included, but requires a different driver than other APC models that have a direct USB interface. I worked with tech support for 2 months and haven't gotten it to work reliably: it works for about a week, then loses communication. They ran out of ideas and I've given up wasting time on it.
I need a UPS that will shut down my server reliably in the event of a power outage, so I've relegated this one to supplying my network gear: it seems fine for that purpose.
