The USB cord and CD rom set up disc is fine for connecting your Sony W300i cell to the computer. My only complaint is with Sony and the cell phone, the way you connect your USB cord end to your cell is not the best. it is not a very secrue, tight or firm fit/connection. (that goes the same with the headphone set that comes w/ the phone). But the USB cord and instruction disc is fine. The disc directs you to the Sony sight to direct you to your particular phone set up use for using the Sony program on your computer. Takes a little reading or searching, but fairly quick and easy set up. Overall a good deal and buy for the cord and memory disc for my Sony W300i. I just have a few small issues w/ my cell phone itself that sony could have done a bit better.
I also believe this USB cord and Memory chip works w/ other cell phones.
