(More customer reviews)Well, there's not much to say about this cable. After all, it's only a cable. These are used by devices which incorporate the MICRO USB port/plug/cable/whatever-you-want-to-call-it format.
For me, it's used with the LG VX9100 and it works fine. It does what it's supposed to do. I can transfer files to and from the phone(using BitPim) or directly to the memory card when it's in the phone. It also charges!
The disk contains drivers for Motorola phones. Which makes sense, since the cable has a sticker on the plug "For MOT V8". So basically it's just "re-branded" or redirected towards LG users. For LG drivers, Google is you friend.
The cable does not have a preference for brands, phone colors, and probably does not care which device or phone you own. After all, it's only a cable!

(More customer reviews)Driver comes with Samsung's PC Studio 3 freeware ((http://www.soft-go.com/view/Samsung-PC-Studio_1153.html) or you can use a mass storage option on the phone (see bellow). It works fine with my SGH-t739(Katalyst) phone and I believe will work with other Samsung phones, but you better check it on Samsung support web site.
Here is the info they sent me:
The SGH-T739 (Katalyst) handset has the capability to transfer files directly from a PC to the handset or a memory card, residing in the handset, using a compatible USB cable. There is a configurable USB setting required for transferring files, via an USB cable, using either Mass Storage (Windows Explorer) or Modem (PC Studio 3).
To access the USB setting follow the steps below:
1. From the standby screen, press the left soft key for Menu
2. Select Settings (9)
3. Select Phone Settings (3)
4. Select USB Settings (4)
5. Highlight one of the following USB Setting options:
* Modem, to use the handset as a wireless modem or/or for the use PC Studio 3 to transfer files directly to the handset
* Mass Storage, to use Windows Explorer to transfer files to or from a memory card
6. Press the left soft key to Select the desired USB Setting
Tip: The handset is unable to connect using PC Studio 3 when the Mass Storage option is enabled.
Note: A formatted microSD(tm) memory card must be inserted into the handset for the Mass Storage option to function properly.

Although the software that is included didn't seem to work with my phones (as was stated in the description), BitPim (www.bitpim.org) saw the phones and allowed me to move pictures and ringtones to and from the phones with no problems.

I've tried charging my LG smart phone with it, both attached to a computer USB port and the home charging unit and in either case it does not charge the phone, where the other cable does that came with the phone does. I've even borrowed a micro-USB / USB cable from a friend with a Blackbery and that cable worked while this does not. Contacted the seller about a week ago and have had no response. Don't waste the small amount of money on buying this!!!

This cable is much thinner and rather fragil. I wouldn't call it professional grade. The seller makes the clame that it outperforms the original...don't think so! This would not be an issue if the expectation had not be made because for the price it is a very good option; it comes well packaged. If you are looking for an inexpensive solution, this is a good option.

I took a lot of pics and video with it, not to mention that I downloaded ringtones. After about 3 months of working fine, I dropped my phone (not in the toilet this time LOL) and it could not get a network signal. At that time I needed to swap phones with a new one, but couldn't send my pics to my email. The store rep suggested that I buy a data cable there that cost $45 so that I could transfer to my computer! With technology the way it is, it would be a waste of time to buy a cable for that much to only transfer the stuff I had on my phone, when something new will be out in a month and the cable won't work with the new model. I stumbled upon the data cable on Amazon by mistake. Glad I did! I copped it for a fraction of what the store wanted, so if I never use it again then I still got my money's worth. The install was a little tricky but if you are determined to make it work then you will.

All a Blackberry needs for data transfer is a STANDARD USB 2.0 cable with a Micro-USB connector at one end.
There is NOTHING special about this cable and nothing justifies the artificially inflated MSRP listed for it. While this item is sold at a 90% off the MSRP discount, it's probably okay to purchase one, for as long as, after reading the first paragraph you decide that you will need a USB 2.0 cable.
The items has 2 stars taken away for the exaggerated marketing claim (professional grade custom cable) and for the inflated MSRP.
NOTE: Please make sure that you buy cable with a MICRO-USB connector because this is what your Blackberry needs.
