(More customer reviews)I was looking at buying the much cheaper male gender/null adapter Amazon sells. The intelligent reviews stated the product wasn't as advertised. Went with this one and it delivers. The designers knew that is cable would be used in somewhat unique fashions. They included 4 doubled threaded nuts that allows the screw-in posts to be utilized if attaching cables have same the posts. These were used for my application. Very adaptable adapter.

Mini Null Modem DB9 Male / DB9 Female, Adaptor Review

(More customer reviews)I received my mini null modem adapter only to find an impostor in its place. What I received was labeled as "mini null modem adapter" but was nothing more than a straight though plug. And unlike in the picture mine had pin 9 intact.
