Unit shipped also does not come with the accessories indicated in description. No coax, no phone cable. I contacted seller and will update this review after I see how they plan to correct this. Update 8/26: Seller indicated they did have the same model with the 9 foot cord and indicated accessories, but refused to send replacement until I returned the incorrect one. They then sent an email with return instructions insisting I would have to PAY for insured return shipping!! They acknowledged there was a model with a 9 foot cord as advertised in their specs, and that they did not send me that model, but did not seem to find any fault with themselves? Beware the east coast online electronics retailers!! Took advantage of Amazon A-Z Guarantee and had my refund in 3 days. AMAZON'S CUST SERVICE IS ALWAYS NO HASSLE AND AWESOME!! I always buy items that indicate "Shipped from and sold by Amazon" when possible, but took a chance this time. Who came through....47th Street Photo? NO!! Amazon did!!

(More customer reviews)At first, I thought this thing was the tops. It performed well in several power outages/fuse problems/spikes (I'm in a 1939 building & my office has mostly original wiring). After about 8 months, half of the plugs quit working altogether. I moved my important stuff to the other 3 plugs and took everything else off backup. We didn't have a power outage for a long time, so I don't know when the backup quit working on the rest, but it doesn't work anymore, although the alarm still sounds and the power light is still on. But anything plugged in will shut off with a power loss. Overall, I've owned it less than a year and a half. At this point, it's a very expensive extension cord. But the price has gone way down (it's less than half what I paid) from when I purchased mine. Either way, I'm paying more and going for a different brand for the replacement.

It ruined his TV, phone, a couple of radios and a bunch of lights. Ruined the surge protector too but it did its job, his computer was fine. Tripp Lite replaced the surge protector for free. A great product.

(More customer reviews)I have an entertainment stand that is all enclosed with glass doors. There is no ventilation anywhere within the cabinet, and I have an Xbox 360, cable box, receiver, and modem/router all running within the confined space. I noticed upon playing Xbox that the temps inside the cabinet skyrocketed, to the point of red rings and equipment overheating and acting funny. Well, not even 6 months after purchasing the console, the Xbox fried, so I knew I had to add some sort of cooling product to alleviate the problem or else I would fry my new Xbox in another 6 months. Enter this product from [...].
The product is exactly what I needed. Using a jigsaw, I cut out the opening in the back panel of the entertainment stand (the thin wood that covers the back... this would be a tough install on a solid thick backing). One tip I learned is that you have to cut out a rectangle a little smaller than the supplied panel cover. I tried to just cut the circles out for the fans, but this made it way too hard to install easily. I went back and cut the full rectangle shape out and voila, went together as easily as everyone else's reviews said.
It took me about an hour to put together and cleanup. I turned on the Xbox, receiver, cable box and modem and played continously for 2 hours. Normally, the Xbox would sound like a 747 taking off at this point, but no, it was very quiet. I opened the glass doors to feel inside. What normally felt like an oven (no joke, probably usually 120 degrees plus) was now very comfortable and only felt slightly warmer than room temp. This thing works! In addition, it is truly silent. I just cannot hear it. The Xbox is way louder than the fans, even when the xbox is running low speed. In all, these work as advertised and aren't terribly difficult to install for anyone handy with some power tools. It will certainly cool your components when the furniture design is a dud to begin with. It does seem pricey, but I do believe it will lengthen the life of my components.

(More customer reviews)I have only had this for a few days, but hookup is a breeze (took about 5 minutes from openning the box to fishing wires under my furniture behind the TV), and it is much faster than wireless G. I am streaming Netflix through my TivoHD without undue buffering, and at the claimed Netflix full HD quality. The utility software included with the product allows the user to turn off the three LEDs on the four port switch, implement security on the devices, and create network priorities if there are multiple adapters on the network. The utility software scans the powerline network and details the speed at which the network is operating. My speeds vary between 72 mpbs to 88 mbps in my 3,100 sqft house that is about 7 years old. My network router is upstairs and my home theater is downstairs. Longevity of the device is yet to be determined since I have only had it a few days, but so far I am very pleased with the product.
***UPDATE***
I had a lamp that operated by touch to turn it on and off. It kept turning on by itself after installing the netgear powerline adapter. Well, after unplugging the lamp from the wall, I am getting about 160 mbps transfer speeds on my network to my home theater. Its fast, stable, and streams video like crazy.
