(More customer reviews)Ever since I got my first Palm III I wanted to be able to access the internet with it. Recently, when I upgraded to a Palm IIIxe and could store a lot more applications, I decided to delve deeper into the Palm-Internet area. At first I looked at wireless, which is far to expensive. Then I tried using a standard external modem with my Palm, it worked great but wasn't very portable. Then Palm released the new Palm modem. It's faster than the old ones, at 33.6, it's small, light wait and runs on both batteries and a AC adapter. Now you can realy go mobile with your Palm. Whenever you are near a phone jack you can plug in and go online. The only major downfall is that it's not a 56K modem, although with most ISP's and phone lines you don't really notice a difference since most of the time you are dealing with text. Overall this is a great add on for any Palm owner, and the software which comes with it is great, especially if you want to download mail from either AOL or any POP3 server. Now you can take the internet with you, where ever you go.

Best Data Internal Modem (56HP) (56HP) Review

(More customer reviews)I recently spent days attempting to install this modem. I was installing it on a new computer and even went to the trouble of re-formatting my computer and installing Windows XP again. Even on a barebones Windows XP install, with no extra, possibly conflicting software, I could not get this modem to work.
Technical support was terrible as well. They did not respond to my e-mails even though they claimed they would in 3-5 business days. Also, I spent hours on hold attempting to talk to somebody and was ultimately unsuccessful.
I purchased a US Robotics V.90-V.92 Internal PCI Faxmodem and had it fully functional in less than 15 minutes.

(More customer reviews)If you are looking for a cable to go between your PC/laptop and your LCD TV...(VGA>Component)....****this is likely not the product for you****. That is what I was looking for...but I didn't read all the details. Most computers don't have the ability to output a component signal. Would not work with my PC (dell) and LCD TV (vizio).
If you're using this cable w/ a projector...it will apparently work. Cable construction appears to be very good.

Motorola Wireless Notebook Adapter WN825G Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this card as it was on sale and I got it for $9.99 I was expecting Windows XP Pro to recognize the card as soon as inserted it but it didn't. I had to use the installation CDROM that came with it. Installation was a breeze.
One of the first things I came to know when using the card was its limited range. I have a Linksys WRT54G wireless router and it is placed high enough from the ground with minimal obstruction. Compared to the Cisco AIR-CB21AG-A-K9 (which I already have) the range of this card is very less.
Other issue I had was the software to control the card. If you decide to use the motorola's wireless utility to configure the wireless connection, the connection is flaky and the connection is dropped frequently. However, if you use Windows to confgiure the wireless connection then connection does not drop that frequently.
Overall I give it a 3 stars.

D-Link DIR-632 Wireless-N 8-Port Router Review

(More customer reviews)I'll start by saying that I have several Windows 7 and several Mac PCs in the house. I had been using a Westell wireless modem/router provided by Frontier DSL (Formerly Verizon DSL in Washington State). The Westell was starting to have problems with one of my Macs (The IP Address kept dropping or some such thing) so I needed a new router. The Quick Start Guide that comes with this D-Link router tells you all you need to know for what is truly a very simple set up process. I simply installed the CD ROM into one of my Windows machines, followed the prompts and, voila!, my new network was up and running.
One terrific benefit to this router that, as of the date of this review, no one has mentioned, is that you have the option of using it as a stand alone router OR IN ADDITION TO your existing router/modem. This latter option provides the user with the addition of even more Ethernet ports because they can use the eight with the D-Link and all but one of the ones on the old router. Note: One of the ports on the old router will need to be used to connect it to the new D-Link. It's also important to note that this is just a router. It does not have a modem so if your existing setup was like mine, with a router/modem, then, assuming there's nothing wrong with your existing modem, you will likely want to ADD this in the same manner that I did.
Of course, if all you need are additional Ethernet ports your money will be much better spent on something like TRENDnet 8-Port Unmanaged Gigabit GREENnet Standard Switch (8 x 10/100/1000Mbps Auto-Negotiation, Auto-MDIX Gigabit Ethernet Ports) TEG-S80G (Black Metal). This piece of equipment will provide you with a hub to plug into your existing router.
I've noticed some reviewers have had issues with Mac. I had none whatsoever. If you only have Mac and no Windows then there's a manual set up process in the Quick Start Guide. If you have both Windows and Mac PCs, I recommend your first set up be with a Windows PC. When you're finished with the Windows set up you'll have all the information you need to just go to your Airport Icon and Join your new network.
I've only used the new network for a couple of days. If I experience any problems, I'll come back and revise my review accordingly.
Update: After three months of use this baby's working like a charm. Not a single issue. I am very happy with this product.
Update # 2: 5/6/2011 Not a single problem. Great set up

This is NOT the case with this surge protector, my DSL works just fine through it! If you want a high quality, professional grade phone line surge protector for a reasonable price, this is it!

NETGEAR RangeMax WNDA3100 Dual Band Wireless-N Adapter Review

(More customer reviews)The WNDA3100 would timeout for 4 seconds approximately every 25 seconds plus other random 5-6 second timeouts. Was using latest drivers. Tried with 2 WNDR3700s in two different locations (one location had no other 2.4ghz channels in use.) Worked with Netgear on issue.
The problem was instantly fixed when I obtained and installed a WNDA3100v2, which has the same model number, although it uses a different chipset and has a light and button which are shown on the packaging. Because it has the same model number, you will need to buy it locally so you can tell the difference.
Returned the WNDA3100 (version1, 1 star) and kept the WNDA3100v2 (works, much better range, 5 stars)
